Fun post Nikki! I especially liked the swimming too :) This reminds me of when I was a kid, my brother and sisters and our friends would act like we were in the Olympics...we would do the craziest dives off the high and low dives then score them! Fun times.. thanks for helping me remember that :)

So cool that the kids were inspired to do some backyard Olympics of their own :)

I watched a lot this year and found myself hooting and hollering at the t.v. when the USA would get medals. I've always loved the o}Olympics! Even if it meant staying up til after 1AM to watch the women's gymnastics finals!

YEA!! We love the Olympics! Hyrum watched WAY too much TV during those weeks. Although we spend most of our cheering in hushed tones because Hy was sleeping. So amazing and SO great to see little Olympians in training. :)

My kids have been inspired by Michael Phelps too :) We have spent many hours at the pool with them racing and taking turns getting to be Phelps :) Their friends all get into it with them at the pool- it has been so fun to watch! Love the olympics!!

I love the Olympics too and feel the same way about a unified world, nation and family.

I vividly remember watching the Olympics as a kid and found myself hoping that my kids would remember watching these Olympics when they're older.

That is a great post! I'm sad the Olympics are over. We had so much fun watching it, too. Many late nights for sure! Looks like you may have some future atheletes of your own. :) Too cute!

I love that pic of Kobe too. Isn't it great how inspired kids get from watching the Olympics? I have seen many posts of kids doing their own Olympics this week. So fun!

Ok, where did Kobe get the swimming cap? THat is fUNNY!! His hair has SUCH a drag in the water, huh? :) Mr. Cutie!

I feel bad I missed so much of the olympics due to our family reunion and trip, but I did catch the volleyball nad running. Even just that had me on the edge of my chair! :)
