52 Blessings Project: Week #37

Changing of the Seasons
I don't have a favorite season. I like them all- I think I kind of need them all. My favorite times of the year are when the seasons change. Last Tuesday I decided to take myself on a field trip while Jack Jack was at preschool. I went on a little nature drive with my camera to capture some of the early fall colors. I'm not a great photographer, but I find it enjoyable. Mostly it was great to be out in the peaceful quiet of nature. There was just enough breeze that the leaves were falling all around me- just beautiful!
(I'm putting a bunch of photos on here for myself, but I made them as small as I could- click on them if you're really interested to see NY Fall. Note to self: One of these days I need to learn how to make those photo grids on Take Out Photo)

This time of year many homes around town have pumpkins for sale right out in their front yards. Just leave the money is the coffee can!
Other interesting sights- an actual flower bed, a home under construction, but yet they have already decorated for fall with pumpkins and corn stalks by the driveway, and Holly- when you're ready to move here I found you a little cabin in the woods...
While it was nice to be alone, after I picked up Jackson, we had a little fun together at Chestnut Ridge park. There are incredible views up on the sledding hill...

In this picture you can see the Buffalo Bills stadium (where the big white dome roof is), downtown Buffalo, and along the horizon, Niagara Falls, Canada
We also saw an artist painting a picture of this end of the lodge with it's vine covered brick and curved tree trunks. What a nice way to spend a beautiful fall day.
What a nice boy to spend it with.

I LOVE the pictures! I want the leaf on my wall! They really are great pictures. YES!! You should have made them bigger. BIGGER IS BETTER!! It is really hard to take pictures of "fall" because the subject is so big and the colors never look as intense. I REALLY want to take a nature hike to take pictures too. Need to fit it in the schedule. You should get a "snap"...
p.s. I love that you don't have word verification. :)

LOVE your fall pictures. You have to drive to the mountains to see the fall colors here. Although it is amazing in the mountains. But I'd take eastern fall any day! Love the picture of the artist creating. There's a special place in my heart for seeing an artist paint. Wish the artists in my life would do so. :) I remember the sledding hill. That cabin in the woods is amazing!! I love the leaf picture too. And I personally like the word verification. It's like a little keyboarding test. :)

Those pictures are so good. Aside from great people living in WNY, it is also beautiful! I'm glad you took a little bit of the day for yourself and enjoyed the scenery!!

I, too, think the pictures are great! Thanks for sharing. Isn't it so nice to have a little quiet time to smell the roses ( or enjoy a sunny, autumn day).
The video clip is nice... peaceful moments filled with only the sounds of nature on a sunny, autumn day.
