Pink

Look what came in the mail!! :) I'm so excited about Pink Christmas. My envelope was packed with lots of ads and discounts to many "Mom-prenuer" businesses including a Pink Christmas thank you card & Good Mail sticker by Jill the Good Mail Queen and the cutest book beads from Laurie of Tip Junkie.I am a little nervous to find the right gift for my new "friend." Can't tell you who it is yet- it's a secret! Thank goodness she has a couple of blogs so I can snoop on her to see what she likes.
The best part about the whole project though is the fact that it raised money to help 3 different families... an immigrant family from West Africa living in Washington DC who recently had twins to add to their other 3 children. The babies were premature and one didn't survive. They are in (Pink Christmas organizer) Kristi's ward. The other 2 charities are the nienie recovery fund and Morrow's Tomorrows.

So let me get this straight you make/get a gift for a fellow blogger and then a gift for the family? Or do you pay money to do this? I guess I didn't really read the instructions very well.

There is the girlfriend give and get but then you also donate $15 to be involoved in it. Sponsors pay $30 to send their ads/samples in the envelope. All of the $$$ goes to the charities

Whycan't it be called blue Christmas?

I completely forgot to sign up even with the numerous reminders from Abby :( How fun to see what you got and I can't wait to see what you do for the girlfriend gift!

Now I wish I had done it cause I love to get envelopes full of stuff. Maybe next year I will do it and be one of the Sponsors with my beaded flowers.

I am really in over my head here! Still, I got my envelope today and I'm excited to participate.

Makes me wish I'd developed my crafty side a little more. :)

I hope you liked the stuff I contributed. It ended up being a huge effort since there were 230 people who signed up this year!

I got my envelope this week too and am bummed that my person has a private blog.

Totally biting my finger nails over this one. It just might turn out though. A few of us locals may have a crafters weekend away with Caity's AMAZINGLY crafty and talented mom to get the job done.... Here's hoping! :)
